Standards and Accessibility

This website is coded to the W3C's XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS 2.1 standards (with some CSS3 enhancements) following the WCAG 2.0 guidelines for website accessibility. However, as the website's content is updated by the community of Bournemouth Creatives, we cannot guarantee that all content pages will meet these standards.

All pages are built with a minimum AA conformance to WCAG 2.0. This means that we have, wherever possible, made our website accessible for those with disabilities.

Browser Compatibility

By using XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.1, we have a website that works well on modern standards-compliant web-browsers. We do not support web browsers that are no longer actively supported by their developers.

If using an out-dated browser such as Internet Explorer 6, we strongly recommend upgrading as old versions may pose a security risk to your computer. The following are the minimum versions of browsers we currently support:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
• Mozilla Firefox 3
• Opera 9.5

This website includes enhancements that take advantage of custom fonts. These will not display on Firefox versions prior to 3.5 or on Opera versions prior to 10. In these browsers the page will use a standard serif font instead. This website also uses curved corners on many boxes which is not officially supported by any version of Internet Explorer, however experimental support has been included for Internet Explorer 8.
